Find and Edit a Client in the Data Exchange

Client details can be updated as often as required

To begin you will need to log into the Data Exchange portal.

To edit a client you will first need to find the client in the Data Exchange.

There are two ways to search for a client.

The first way is to select the find a client icon from the home screen. This will display the find a client screen for you. On this page type in the client details you would like to search with such as a surname or Client Id and select the search button. In this example, we are going to search for the surname of Jones. All matching records will appear under the results section located at the bottom of the page. Select the correct client by clicking the client’s name. Here we are going to select Emily Jones. The client profile screen will now display.

The second way to find a client is to start typing the clients name or Client ID into the search bar at the top of the home page. Here we will start searching for the surname of Jones again. A list of clients will appear as you start typing allowing you to select the correct client from the list. Here, again we will select Emily Jones. Once a client has been selected, the client profile screen will display.

Once on the client profile screen you can select the more button to view all of the client's current information. To edit client information select Edit Client Details located at the top of the page.

The edit client details screen will now display for you.

You will now be able to edit all of the client's information as required. In this example we now know that the clients employment status is unemployed but looking for work. We can reflect this change under the Extended Demographic Details.

If you wish to exit the edit a client page you can select the cancel button.

Alternatively, once you have completed updating all the client's information you can select the save button.

The Client Profile screen will re-display and a message will appear at the top of the screen advising that the client has been successfully saved.

You have now successfully found a client and updated client details in the Data Exchange web-based portal.
