Update: 1 July 2019

Reminder to finalise data by 30 July 2019

The end of the January to June 2019 reporting period is coming up fast. We would like to encourage all users to make sure your data is entered into the Data Exchange as soon as possible to avoid any last minute issues that might occur when uploading your data.

If your data has not been submitted and accepted into the Data Exchange within the reporting period, your organisation will have missed the cut-off date and will not be able to enter the data in at a later stage. The data will not count towards your deliverables and your organisation and the department will miss out on this valuable information.

Things to consider when updating your data:

  • Do staff have the appropriate access to enter data? It is never easy to enter data at the last minute if staff do not have the correct access.
  • Have your outlets changed? If your outlet information has changed you’ll need to update these details and have the changes approved by the Helpdesk. You will not be able to enter data against those outlets with end dates that have passed.
  • Have you checked the Data Quality report to ensure your data is accurate and as expected?

Your Funding Arrangement Manager is often your primary contact point and the Data Exchange Helpdesk can offer support on technical queries between 08.30am – 5.30pm AEST Monday to Friday (via email dssdataexchange.helpdesk@dss.gov.au or phone 1800 020 283).

Creation of new outlets

Any organisations wanting to create new outlets or change existing outlets are asked to do so as soon as possible. Any requests made in the last week of July may not be approved before the close of the reporting period, due to the high volume of Helpdesk queries during this time.

The Data Exchange team requests that organisations action any updates and changes over the coming fortnight, to ensure they are finalised before the close of the reporting period.

Data Exchange access

Important note: Organisation Administrators can create and manage Data Exchange access in the web-based portal rather than submit this request to the Data Exchange Helpdesk. This task card helps you create new Data Exchange Users - https://dex.dss.gov.au/add-a-new-user/

Data Exchange website update reminder

An updated version of the Data Exchange website is available, alongside the existing website. We have taken time to listen to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into a new design. The new version can be viewed through the ‘beta’ button on the website and feedback on the design submitted through the ‘provide feedback’ button.
