New Reporting Period
We would like to thank all organisations that submitted their January to June 2023 data before the system closed on 30 July 2023.
We would also like to remind everyone the July – December 2023 reporting period is well underway. We encourage you to report regularly throughout the reporting period to avoid not getting your data in in time. Reporting regularly also allows you time to monitor your data quality and amend any errors before the reporting period closes.

Update on Program Specific Guidance
We have changed the way Program Specific Guidance for Reporting into DEX is displayed on the Data Exchange website. The Program Specific Guidance for reporting into DEX has been divided into nine documents. We have split the guidance material by department, or program outcome:
- Department of Social Services
- Attorney Generals Department
- Department of Health and Aged Care
- Department of Home Affairs
- Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
- Government of New South Wales
If organisations are unsure as to what Program Specific Guidance applies to them, please check your grant agreement.
Do you foresee a change in staffing, or is the person entering data into the Data Exchange about to leave your agency? If so, please update your organisation’s Data Exchange access to include other staff members. It is also timely to remove the access of any staff who are no longer employed or no longer require access to the DEX system.
Doing so helps ensure your organisation can report regularly and meet the next reporting deadlines.

Data Exchange Planned Maintenance
The DEX system will be unavailable between 8.00pm to 9.30pm on Saturday 19 August 2023. Users will not be able to access or upload data into the Data Exchange during this time.
