Data Exchange Update August 2021
New Reporting Period
Thank you for a great January to June 2021 reporting period! We had a record number of organisations submit their data on time and also saw an increase in the number of organisations regularly reporting through the reporting period. This important information provides a strong evidence base to drive policy decisions and helps the department to better understand the outcomes being achieved by Australians accessing services.
The July – December 2021 reporting period is well underway. We encourage you to report regularly throughout the reporting period and use the Organisation Data Quality report to monitor your data quality. Please review our training resources for more tips on improving data quality.
System Changes: Upcoming Updates to the Data Exchange Reports
The Data Exchange will be implementing some changes to the DEX reports in September. Please refer to the Upcoming DEX Report Changes document for more information and instructions on what you may need to do to accommodate these changes. The updates include:
- The Data Exchange reports website URL is changing.
- The Partnership Approach reports will be made available to all organisations reporting into the Data Exchange.
- Handshake content will be expanded to more reports.
- Minor formatting improvements.
Do you foresee a change in staffing, or is the person entering data into the Data Exchange about to go away? If so, please update your organisation’s Data Exchange access to include other staff members. This helps to ensure your organisation can report regularly and meet the next reporting deadlines. For more information on how to add a new user, please visit the Data Exchange website.
Data Exchange Planned Maintenance
Please be advised, the Data Exchange and Data Exchange Reports will be unavailable between 8pm and 10pm AEST on Saturday, 28 August 2021 due to scheduled maintenance.
